Feeding frenzy
Breaking our way through the ice was an interesting experience and watching the way the ice cracked and broke up kept me entertained. As the ice broke up it often rolled over and this flushed fish to the surface. The kittiwakes flew along just back from the bow of the ship waiting for the chance to get an easy meal. The bird in the lower right corner of this picture got lucky this time.
