Geared-up

Having spent all morning photographing penguins, albatross and shags in the afternoon I went for a trek around South Harbour to the site of the whaling station that was established in 1908 by the New Whaling Company. This was abandoned in 1916 and all that is left is an old slip way and old rusting machinery. It is well worth a visit.
